Portfolio pointers

Post by gideman » October 16th, 2014, 11:04 pm

When you hover over a portfolio foto you see two links. One chain and one magnifying glass.
The link with the magnifying glass gives a thumbnail but you can't see those foto's.
How can i get rid of this magnifying class function?

Greetings

Gert

I would interested in making the whole thumbnail link to the portfolio item page and do without the link and magnifying glass icons.

I modified the default.css stylesheet with
.enigma_home_portfolio_showcase .enigma_home_portfolio_showcase_icons a {
display: none;
background-color: #ddbafd;
border:2px solid #ddbafd;
color:#fff;
}
and it worked perfectly. I couldn't find a "switch" anywhere in the actual theme so I headed over to style sheet ( I back up all of my modified style sheets so I can re-upload them if the developers decide to update their theme.) I have actually modified the theme considerably in a dev site at http://flexaway.douglaswebdesigns.com

@douglaswebdesigns - That worked for getting rid of the icons, thanks.

Now if I could just figure out how to make it link the same as the caption.

Hello Dougaswebdesigners.

You have made a nice site and you have done partly what I want. You took out both the magnifying en chain links. Could you tell me how I can remove the magnifying link from the portfolio?

Greetings

Hi Gideman

The remove the magnifying link from the portfolio.

You need to edit home-portfolio.php file. i have share link the updated home-portfolio new code :

http://tny.cz/be863f9c.

Just copy these code and paste in your theme directory home-portfolio.php save the changes.

After that follow the given instruction.

Go to admin dashboard => enigma portfolio=>add new portfolio.

Set Portfolio Button link as # and publish.

If you add your special link on your portfolio.

Thanks

Hi douglaswebdesigns

I am trying to edit the accent color as you have done on the dev site (to purple).
I tried using your css in Enigma's Custom CSS Editor box but it didn't work.
Do you know if this can be done via the Editor box or do I have to change the style sheet code (which I'm less comfortable doing)?

Thanks.
