How to Drive Massive Traffic to your Website

So you are all set for the next big thing. Which is driving a million visitors to your website. But the only problem is, for now, you don’t know how to do it.

But the good news is, you are reading this blog right now. And in this blog, you will learn how to drive traffic to your website.

The paradigm shift of SEO

One thing that separates Google from all others is their hunger to get better at what they do. And for this purpose, they evolve a lot.

The last update in Google algorithm back in the year 2011, Google Panda mutated the SEO industry.

What was once just an algorithm to penalize low-quality, thin sites, is now a fully-featured AI prodigy.

Gone are the times when your sole focus was on link building and keyword stuffing. With the internet at the fingertips of every soul, we have entered in an era where customers have shifted from novice to smart.

Where Entrepreneurs and small business owners are equipped with all the tools they need to rank better in Google search results.

Where it is nearly impossible to rank your site on Google solely on the basis of page rank and keyword density.

Where the paths separate

It doesn’t take rocket science to realize that Google changes its algorithm at a towering rate. To keep up with all the mumbo jumbo you need to act smart.

Nearly all the traffic-generation schemes will eventually come to a stop. To overcome this, you need to plan for the long-haul. What’s required is not only a change in behavior but a switch of mentality.

Moving from just content to Good contents

The closer your page resembles the mark where Google consider your content as good content, better will be your chances to rank higher on Google result pages.

From now onwards ‘Quality Content’ will be gratified by Google. It is all like some cool board game. Some rules might not make sense to you, but you have to accept them in good faith to win over time.

To get yourself heard out there in the crowd, you need to follow Google’s guidelines vigorously than ever.

The best approach is to listen to what Google wants in a website to rank better on their results page and offer exactly that to your users.

Keep your website Crawler-friendly

The nucleus of good SEO is to analyze data, do what is necessary, and for the most part, to avoid what needs not to be done.

It is so easy to follow the hip-hop trend of the market. But on the long-run, it will not benefit your brand at all.

Too many people are still working on the strategies that used to work before Panda. What was once considered as best practices are now in the zone of penalizing your website.

My friend who owns a website design agency was penalized twice just because it took him too much time to understand what Google really wants.

Make sure you do not make that mistake with your brand.

Keep the crawler coming to your website. Schedule a weekly crawl for your website even when you feel like it is not necessary. It is not about what you feel important, it is what is important for Google.

How many pages of your website are crawled? Take note. How many are left? Make sure to let Google crawl them.

Eliminate the identical pages

At the end of the day, Google is just a reflection of human intelligence. At the core, it is up to you to make smart use of it.

Get yourself immersed in Google webmaster. Search and find out what are the identical pages and remove them.

Your job is to keep to as simple for Google as possible. Google transformed its algorithm from link building to user-centric approach.

You need to be very clear about the vision of your brand and put that vision out there in the content.

Steal first. Innovate later

Before you judge me over my integrity let me share with you one of my favorite quotes on stealing like a boss.

“If you steal from one author it’s plagiarism; if you steal from many it’s research.” ~Wilson Mizner

Look for what are the most successful brands are doing. What approach are they using to rank their brands high in Google. Pick the ones that suit you best and leave the rest. As every best SEO company quotes that “you need to make sure that you add your own flavor to every element that you add on the website.”

Do not just copy the strategy. Study it. Analyze it. And take whatever you can that will help your brand. To make it personal, add your custom touch to the strategy.

Don’t just research and reach out to who you subjectively think might be interesting. Evaluate your competitor reach and engagement and see how you can offer that into your website.

To wrap it up

The above-mentioned strategies are not randomly picked strategies, these are strategies which I used in two on my ventures and those turned out pretty well. I thought, what good is the knowledge if not shared with the audience. So, there you go. Now you know what to do to get ahead of your competition and make it to the top of Google search results.
