Why I, and Everyone Else, Should Support WordPress

Why I, and Everyone Else, Should Support WordPress

It is no secret that WordPress is a professional tool that is very likely the most powerful free-to-use platform available to internet entrepreneurs. It is also hard to believe just how much of the entire internet landscape is powered by WordPress.

When I began compiling the facts and statistics for my look into the entire WordPress realm, I was not expecting to find so many facts that support just how powerful and easy to implement WordPress is. Neither was I ready for the facts to show just how overwhelming the market share garnered and maintained by WordPress would be. What is more, its unprecedented hegemony seems to be gaining even greater momentum.

With all that, I believe I was able to create a collection of facts that prove exactly why WordPress is the backbone of the internet in 2017.

Here is a quick look at how and why I decided to investigate and share these amazing facts about the world’s top CMS and website creation tool.

How I Got Started

I was sitting on my computer when a friend of mine phoned me to ask what platform he should use to create his new site. After a conversation that included his goals, idea and overall plans for his soon-to-be website, I was surprised that I honestly couldn’t answer the question fairly.

You see, I have personally been using WordPress for years and though I wanted to recommend it, I also didn’t want to lead my friend in the wrong direction. I began to research a bit more into the matter and was bombarded by a host of forums, faqs, and information that was quite simply all over the place.

That being said, I was happy to see that a lot of the key facts and statistics were relatively the same across the net and most were quoted by the top internet professionals in the marketplace. I didn’t, however, find any collection of these facts. I thought it would be hugely beneficial to anybody, my clients and friends included, who was looking to start an online business or website to compile one.

Where I Got My Information

The next step was to find the data. I took about a week and scoured the internet in search of all things WordPress. I also made sure to only consider facts that could be proven and linked to responsible and authoritative sources on the subject. Furthermore, any information that was not verifiable by multiple sources was ignored and I was able to finally put together a rather extensive list of facts and statistics. I then spent an additional couple days cutting that extensive list down to the most important and amazing facts out of the bunch.

Why I Decided To Share My Findings

After I had solidified the facts and checked them for accuracy against multiple sources, I shared them with my friend. He was highly impressed and said that he would have benefited greatly if these facts were available online and pressed me to publish them. This was all the confirmation I needed that these facts were worth sharing with anyone looking to enter the internet marketplace, and it would go a long way to helping new entrepreneurs, like my friend. I spent another few days creating the graphics and curating the information into this 51 Amazing Facts You Probably Don’t Know About WordPress.
