Getting images to "fill" not be cropped or stretched

Post by aed_ltd » September 16th, 2015, 3:40 pm

Hi

Liking the slider, but my images are of various sizes and are either cropped or stretch the window depending on settings. The former is no good, the latter makes the page jump around.

Is there a simple option to make them intelligently resize to touch the defined window size in one direction or the other, depending on aspect ratio, instead? I can't find it.

Thanks

Was this answered? I have the same question. I have a number of photos that have been submitted and I would like to have them show up in the slider sized to either the max height (for portrait shots) or max width (for landscape shots). Without the cropping and/or stretching that distorts the picture.

Hi,

Was this answered? I'm having the same issue.
take a look at http://www.gravity-eps.com/main-page/news
the different sized images make the page size alter. Is it possible to set the max height and max width and the photo's only view at those maximums without cropping?

Thanks
Simon

I think i've realised that it's taking into account the maximum image width but not the height. The width is taking precedence over the height of the image. I need the height to stay the same and the width to alter depending on the ratio and size of the photo.

Please help!

HI.

So....

Here's the issue.

If i turn the auto height off in the controls, the maximum height of the viewer stays the same, However, It crops the image top and bottom.
If i turn it on again the bottom of the page jumps all over the place, which is undesirable.

Is there a way for the slider to take the maximum height and width of the slider and then re-size the height and width of the image to fit inside that boarder? without cropping and keeping the image in ratio?

Many thanks

Simon
