Set Default Slider Settings

Post by dancapp » April 10th, 2016, 9:16 pm

I need to be able to set the default settings for new sliders, mainly because of the custom CSS. At the moment, each time I create a new slider the settings return to their default, with no custom CSS.

I read on the wordpress support forum that I can change the default settings in the plugin file 'ultimate-responsive-image-slider-pro.php' in the function:

// Apply default settings on activation
register_activation_hook( __FILE__, 'RISP_DefaultSettingsPro' );
function RISP_DefaultSettingsPro(){

But when I change the first, line for example, to:

"RISP_Slider_Layout" => 4,

...the default settings do not change to make the 4th layout the new default.

What am I doing wrong? I specifically paid for the premium version of the plugin to solve this problem. I didn't actually need any of the other premium features.

Hello dancapp,
for resolving your issue..there is an another method also.. follow the below steps-
1- open the file "ultimate-responsive-image-slider-pro-settings-meta-box.php" in the plugin folder.
2- On line no. 262 replace the code as like http://imgur.com/OGaK2gx.
3- save the page.

Now when you will create new gallery, layout "4" will be default.
If need any help..please let us know.
thanks.

Thank you for your help. This has almost solved the problem. Please read on.

I can change all of the values in the 'ultimate-responsive-image-slider-pro-settings-meta-box.php' for 'layout 4' to '1' or '2' to change which radio button is selected by default in the plugin control panel. But there are two settings I can't seem to set defaults for because they don't have a radio button value. For example:

<tr id="L4">
<th scope="row"><label><?php _e('Slider Width', RISP_TEXT_DOMAIN); ?></label></th>
<td>
<?php if(!isset($RISP_L4_Slider_Width)) $RISP_L4_Slider_Width = 100%; ?>

I cannot simply set this as "100%" because it breaks the plugin control panel. If I set it to "100%" (with quotation marks" then it works, but it simply puts "100%" in the Custom width box of the setting and I don't think this will work (or will it?).

Does this make sense? If not I can try to explain further.
